FAQ’S
1. WHAT IS C.O.N.E.?
C.O.N.E. is the acronym for “Collaboration Network.” C.O.N.E is also a group that is a safe, professional Network resource geared toward up-and-coming new artists, older, mature artists, motivated artists and music business professionals who may not have a budget but DO have talent, a vision, a mind to work and to help others fulfill their music dreams as well. C.O.N.E. is a safe haven from all of the negative experiences in the music business; an outlet to brainstorm ideas and receive much needed support. C.O.N.E. is a place where money isn’t the primary focus, but a successful outcome and experience is the goal. Members may negotiate contracts [paid or not], copyrights or work-for-hire agreements within the group if decided. However, “bartering” is encouraged, if at all possible, as networking and exposure can in turn provide opportunities and compensation.
2. WHO SHOULD BE A PART OF C.O.N.E.? WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM C.O.N.E.?
C.O.N.E. Members need to be selfless, giving, willing to share, hungry, ready to work hard as a group for one common goal and have a desire to spread God’s word through song! C.O.N.E. is not a “get rich quick” or “famous-focused” group but rather a “keep pushing it creatively” and “stay busy and productive” group. C.O.N.E can be a musical outlet or hobby. Serving is a key part of this group. It is an unconventional, “out of the box” way of getting things done and people are doing it every day! It just works! Therefore, the following creative types can certainly benefit from C.O.N.E.: Lead Singers, Background Vocalists, Musicians, Producers, Sound Engineers, Graphic Artists, Publicists, Grant Writers, Accountants, Songwriters, Copyright Administrators, Radio Personnel, Marketing/Social Media Experts, Business Consultants, Contract/Entertainment Lawyers, etc.
3. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP?
Must possess a music or music business related skill and be able/willing to barter your services [or possibly hire or be hired] to assist with the creation or development of one or more music projects. The idea is to make things happen without cost hindering the process or discouraging the member! A lot can be done if we use what we have already, put egos aside, have a certain mindset and help each other reach achievable goals. We ALL WIN! A Membership Agreement and member rules are set in place to provide structure and eliminate confusion, but the key requirements will be based on each Member’s word, spiritual maturity, integrity, trust, values and actions as a Believer in Jesus Christ as it pertains to One’s neighbor. This will not be for the faint of heart!
4. WHAT DOES THE FOUNDER OF C.O.N.E. WANT MEMBERS GET OUT OF THE GROUP?
Synophia “Syn” Tate wants a successful networking group that produces ideas, projects and opportunities that will ultimately help all members involved in the music creative process. She wants the C.O.NE. motto, “Pay it forward and be blessed in giving for it will come back to you!” resonate within the group.
